DIY BIRTHDAY DECOR

It was my husband's Birthday and as usual I started decorating my house at the last moment… I think my creative mind works only when I am pressurized.

I thought I will make a colorful garland that says Happy Birthday, to decorate my house… I didn’t have enough materials to make it, somehow I managed to make one with few old newspapers,

Take a newspaper , fold and cut it in your favorite shape.. Here I have made  a triangular shape..

Now paint it with your favorite color….

Once it is dried write the letters on them with a brush.. You can also use a marker pen…

Finally glue these paper cuttings on to a thread/wool….

Now hang it wherever you want

In the picture you can also see some other stuffs hanging, they are just symbolic gifts :P

Isn't it easy to make.....

DIWALI DIYA / LAMPS

Hi friends ..

First of all let me wish you and your family a Very Happy and Safe Diwali. Only 3more days left guys.. Lets make this diwali special by revamping your old clay diya’s with some  colorful, handmade diya’s…..

Take out your old Diwali clay lamps and follow these simple steps to get a new look

Firstly color your old clay lamps with some bright colors .. Here I have used hobby ideas pearl colors.. Let it dry for some time…

Once it is dried decorate it using a 3d out liner in the way you want.. Here I have used gold metallic color for that.. Do it carefully… Keep a waste cloth near to wipe when the design gets wrong.  Let it dry completely…Don’t worry If you don’t have these outliner  just stick some sequences/glitters on your lamp…

Your Diwali diya is ready.. Is’nt it pretty… If you want to use it as a candle then melt some wax candle and pour into it.. Don’t forget to put the wick before pouring the melted wax…

If u want to use it as a decor u may try double color... (try out dark color inside and contrast color outside)

Will upload the lit lamps on Diwali :)

If you have any doubts message me in the comment space below…

PEACOCK FEATHER IDEAS

Hi guys I know the amount of posts on my blog are reducing these days… I am not getting enough time to devote coz I’ve been accompanying my husband to places where his job is taking him. It is just that I did not have an internet connection to post my work’s.

What kept me busy these days is the stuff that you see below.

This is just a Fabric painted dupatta inspired from Kerala mural painting that I have posted before.

My love for peacock feather is very old and I’m so obsessed with it that I even got a permanent tattoo of it.

DIY- HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE EARRINGS

I am so crazy about jewelry. I have pretty good collection of bangles and earrings , but I love to watch them in my jewelry box rather than wearing them… Isn’t it crazy!!  I used to make simple chains and stud earrings for my mom when I was in high school. But recently I have started making earrings and bangles to match with my outfits.

Today I thought I will show you how to make a simple pair of earrings

Things you need
 2 head pins
 2 earring hook
 Beads
 Plier..

Now pile your bead on a headpin as shown in the pic.. the length of the headpin should be1cm above the bead..cut off the excess length using wire cutter…

Now with the help of plier make a loop on the headpin …

Before tightening the loop attach the earring hook to it…

Follow these steps and make another one like this…

I made one more earring  like this

Isn't it simple!!!  Hope you have enjoyed reading this
